Description (last modified by Bib)
Starting somewhere between 2009 April 25th and june 5th, when a wrt54gl is set as client mode it can't get back its DCHP address after applying some change in MAnagement.asp (like enbling https/disable HTTP, enable SSH, disable AllowAnyIp?, disable 802.1x server or even nothing). I have this issue also in june 13th release. PS: wl secu is WPA2 paersonal AES. PS: reverting settings leaves the client without IP http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=311349#311349 The issue starts with release 12245 In fact, any chhange commit which stop and restart the wl make the ip lost. The only way I found to recover the IP connectivity is to re-apply one of the wl settings page - no parameter seems to be lost, so no need to re-enter any one. Reboot doesn't help. After the router has lost it's IP, the wl link remains OK I didn't try without wireless security (i always use wpa2 personal) because as the link is ok i imagine it's irrelevant. A workaround is to use static IP. The last working available public release is 12188 - I tested all the further ones to 090613 (12288 i think), all are KO

should be fixed. some isp's are using oversized dhcp packets which causes the dhcp client to crash. i discovered this for one isp yesterday and implemented a work around
