PPTP VPN Pass through issue and Utorrent downloads causing router reboot issue

Reported by: jumran Owned by: somebody
Keywords: VPN Passthrough and router stability using torrents. Cc:

Description

When PPTP server/client is enabled along with PPTP pass through, connection to external PPTP VPN server fails. If PPTP server/client is disabled and try to reconnect again, it connects successfully. The pass through seems to work for a minute after it is applied but stops working after that unless the work around of disabling PPTP server and client is done.

Another member has reported the same issue on the forums.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=382051

Also the second issue is router randomly restart when downloading torrents. Router becomes non responsive for 5min and network goes down. Seems to happen when the PPOE WAN connection download speed is almost maxed out. Not sure if this has something to do with QOS.

Router used:

Asus RT-N16

Builds affected by both issues:

So far all builds since build 13491M NEWD-2 K2.6.
