Description
I successfully installed BrainSlayer?'s V24-preSP2 r13832 build to my tew-632brp. My first configuration was in client-bridged mode and it seems to work OK. An occasional dropped connection, but I've not been able to investigate it yet.
I then installed same build to a second tew-632brp router and have configured it as PPPoE gateway mode. Immediately after reboot of router and DSL modem, PPPoE connection is established (as indicated by valid IP in Status->WAN page of web interface). I then try to test connection by browsing to www.google.com -> success! I then try to browse to www.nytimes.com -> loads 90% of page and then hangs indefinitely. I return to Status->WAN page and Login Status displays as "Disconnected". Repeated clicking of Connect button does no good. Rebooting router and modem will bring connection back up, but browsing to complex web pages brings it back down. MTU is set to 1492 (same as my Linksys router with factory firware which works fine).
I upgraded this tew-632brp to r13972 (currently the latest build). I see the same behavior. This time I tried some things like disabling SPI firewall -> no change. I then enabled logging and I noticed in /var/log/messages the lines "WAN Rx Hang Detected 1 times", "... 2 times", "... 3 times", "... 4 times". I don't know if this is related to my problem. I see that BrainSlayer? has just added this log string recently, so maybe the code is still fresh in his mind :-)
So, basically I have not been able to get this router to work as PPPoE gateway: connection is initially established, then dropped with traffic. I guess I could swap the two routers to see if this is possibly a hardware problem (both routers are brand-new and never been used before), but I haven't had the time yet.
Please advise on whether I should provide any more specific info/logs/etc. Thanks in advance for any efforts on this problem.

FWIW, I tried swapping routers and I get the same problem with both routers.
