Computer with MAC same as MAC cloned on WAN port has no internet access

After using the "MAC Clone" feature, the original computer with that MAC address loses access to the internet. The management interface works fine, the first and last working hop in traceroute from PC to an external host is the router. Changing the MAC address of PC resolves this.
Router: Asus RT-G32 (Atheros)
DD-WRT build: 14684 (also present in 13525)
