DIR-615 (Rev. E1) stops serving wireless

Description
The D-Link DIR-615 (Rev. E1), running DD-WRT r14815, occasionally (every few hours) spontaneously stops serving a wireless 802.11n Mixed network on a 20MHz channel. No beacon is available, and all clients drop off the network - but the list of clients in DD-WRT remains unchanged for hours on end.
No apparent reason or pattern. I have the router serving its syslog to a remote server on the network, connected via Ethernet, and what shows up in the syslog is this:
Jul 20 00:48:07 dir-615 kernel: [169421.490000] Sending cwmmode action frame to ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff Jul 20 00:48:08 dir-615 kernel: [169422.340000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:09 dir-615 kernel: [169423.190000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:10 dir-615 kernel: [169424.040000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:10 dir-615 kernel: [169424.890000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:11 dir-615 kernel: [169425.740000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:12 dir-615 kernel: [169426.590000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:13 dir-615 kernel: [169427.440000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:14 dir-615 kernel: [169428.290000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:15 dir-615 kernel: [169429.140000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:16 dir-615 kernel: [169429.990000] Resetting; Code: 01 Jul 20 00:48:17 dir-615 kernel: [169430.840000] Resetting; Code: 01
Afterwards, the "Resetting" line continues to repeat ad infinitum in the syslog until the wireless interface is manually shut down and brought back up (ifconfig ath0 down/up).
Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm happy to run any necessary tests.

Also can verify above situation with a DIR-601 A1 router using r16172. Have experience coding C but no kernel experience. Happens more frequently with a client connected to the AP with a Broadcom 4318 adapter.
