iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.3.3 which is 802.11b/g not b/g/n like iPhone 4 which is probably doing something. With dynamic width set my laptop still connects with normal N speeds and the router still connects to the host router in client mode with proper N speeds but the iPhone will not connect at all. If I go back to HT40 only or HT20 only then the iPhone can connect again.

usually a incompatiblity with the iphone 3gs driver and n networks. soon we will switch to a new driver line which usually works then. right now we spend all development efforts in this new driver which also will support 3x3 atheros chipsets. but maybe you can find something out by capturing the traffic with tcpdump/omnipeek etc.

obsoleted with the change of wifi driver

my iphone 4 and my ipad works. which iphont do you use? dynamic is not much different from other modes, except that it enables ht 40 intollerance which means that ht40 is disabled if other ht20 or legacy networks are in sight where pure ht40 forces the mode. please provide more details about your test
