Wi-fi stopped working on Edimax BR-6574n between r18007 and 18024

Description
On r18007 wi-fi works normally.
Reflash with r18024, no packets are sent or received by the radio. No connections are possible. Scanning for nearby networks on the router shows nothing.
Reflash with r18007 and wi-fi starts working again. Nearby networks are found, connections to the network are possible.
