Description
Testing the firewall with ShieldsUp? reports most ports are in closed mode. I cannot find a way to set the ports to stealth mode. I have noticed this on Rc7 builds on Asus520gc.

Thx eko. SPI is turned on. Port 53 is open. RC6.2 micro works fine on my asus 520gc - all ports in stealth mode.

I am not seeing this behavior on my Buffalo router with prerelease RC7 builds.
Try hard reset, reconfigure, test again.
Also, keep in mind that if you're behind a proxy ShieldsUp?! will not give you real results.

I am using prerelease version SVN 9068M. I have done a hard reset and reconfigured - but ShieldsUP still reports most ports in closed mode. My other two routers (wrt300n and vigor 2900 with their own firmware) report all ports in stealth mode.

That's the same build I am using, and ports are stealth.
What kind of internet connection do you have? What settings have you changed on your router after doing the hard reset?
Can you give me any other information to reproduce the problem?

Hi soulstance
After hard reset the only changes I have made are :
- ppoe configuration.
- enable wireless security to WPA2 personal
I have an adsl connection with a modem in bridged mode.

I loaded svn 9235M, did a hard reset and reconfigured the pppoe and !?! - the firewall is working properly again. Not sure why, but I am glad it working again.

sorry, toggled SPI firewall setting and the problem is back again. Cannot get the firewall to switch into stealth mode. I am using the micro version on my wl-520gc.

Tested SVN 9333M micro - Firewall seems to be working correctly again using the Shields Up firewall test. This SVN compile seems stable. Earlier SVN versions 9300 & 9307 hung after the basic configuration of Poeee and WPA2.

Problem is back again. Firewall not in stealth mode in SVN 9360 generic micro. SVN9346 micro is fine.

Turn on the SPI firewall.
