Description

i Have attached a photo of my wireless config for wl0 it its the picture named 1.

if i set it to channel 5 initially. and all those settings. it will use channel 5 and 7 as it should. and i get my wide band.(as in photo 2) HOWEVER once the router is rebooted for the first time. it sits on channel 1 indefinitely. (as in photo 3) and will not use 5+7 or any channel other than 1 for that matter, unless the nvram is cleared and i redo everything.

I have updated to the latest build (31533) but the issue still persists. (at least without a nvram clear) I will update after a nvram clear tommorow.

  • Summary changed from ASUS AC87U wl0 stuck on channel 1 to ASUS AC87U wl0 stuck on channel 1 with WDS

after clearing the nvram and updating to 31544, i went step by step and found the issue of me being stuck at channel 1 is only caused after reboot IF WDS is configured on WL0. so i believe this is a issue with the Wireless Distribution System.

Both units are ASUS AC87Us, if you guys do not have another ASUS AC87U or anything that would be compatible for WDS with the ASUS AC87U. i would gladly be able to test your fixes/attempts for you.
