Yes, proc/swaps has been missing since build 13450. It would be nice if it was re-incorporated.

Swap space may not have been supported, but it did always work.

Benefits of swap space has always been controversial. Although the USB-interface is comparatively slow it may still increase overall performance when some memory-hungry apps are running.

Anyhow... It was there and it was being used by people wanting it. The devs had to write code to disable it. This time could have been used to repair for instance /proc/partitions.

Hello,

I am in the same issue. SWAP was earlier supported, as it is dokumented on the Wiki pages as well: 1. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linux_SWAP 2. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Optware 3. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Optware%2C_the_Right_Way

I know optware (or openwrt packages or personal made packages) is not part of ddwrt, but the interoperability for some of the packages requires swap usage.

Hopefully someone will witch it 'on' again.

I support this. I'm running samba3 and lighttpd with a php based proxy and there isn't enough ram on my device to handle everything. Although it worked fine with swap before.
